Yheti's live performances are an ever morphing detailed sound sculpture that plays with the souls of those open to the more experimental, surreal, low end heavy side of electronic music. With the intention of creating a champion dance environment through high energy bass, deep rhythms, and soul driven melodies.
Methodically flooding the airwaves with sonically justified precision, the man behind the moniker DMVU stands at the decks of an unstoppable persona defined by unmistakable ingenuity. Calling Denver, Colorado home, his innovation laden sounds claim a constant state of bewilderment, leaving no question to his intrinsic skill as he deepens his groove as a major player in an international circuit. With tracks circulating across seas and finding their way into the playlists of names like Noisia and Boombox Cartel, he continues to receive praise from some of the top names in bass music. Recently releasing a full Hip Hop EP with Ill Chill, the producer’s reaches seem to have no limits, nurturing a rapidly growing fan base with tastes just as large as his productions. Seeing collaborations with the likes of Emancipator and playing well matched alongside leading figures Hudson Mohawke and Truth, his involvement with respected labels Encrypted Audio and Deep Dark and Dangerous fuel an uncontainable flame. Proliferating an impressive lineage of releases, his most recent addition, the ‘BLOCCD’ EP on Deep Dark and Dangerous stands as a true testament to a diversely adept artist’s deserved place as a gate-pushing contender within today’s expansive music scene. Prepared or not, the best from DMVU is coming for us when we least expect it.
++OF THE TREES++
Of the Trees is Tyler Coombs; electronic music producer hailing from Portland, ME. Melding strong influences from hip hop, ambient, and dance music to create emotive soundscapes laden with everything from jazzy piano arrangements to polyrhythmic changes not commonly heard in club friendly music. To date, he has released three well-received albums with Austin, TX based label Gravitas Recordings, as well as appearing on Bassnectar’s 2015 effort; “Into the Sun”. He has had the honor of being direct support for artists like DJ Shadow, RJD2, and STS9, as well as performing at festivals across the country and Alex Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.
tsimba is the alias adopted by quickly-rising bass music producer Mark Evans Musto based out of Brooklyn, NY, originally from Wallingford, CT. When it comes to artistic authenticity and ingenuity, tsimba sets the bar extremely high with his hard-hitting, genre-defying production and mind-melting DJ sets. Turning heads across the country with his ‘Future Roots Sound’, tsimba is undoubtedly building a reputation as one of the most dynamic, exciting artists in the mid-tempo/heavy bass scene. His background as a percussionist fuels his ability to build songs around complex, out-of-the-box percussion rhythms, while simultaneously drawing on inspiration from both western and eastern traditional music to create that distinctive tsimba sound. Remaining indifferent toward fads and what others are doing, tsimba is a genuine trailblazer in the realms of bass music, continually pushing the envelope. His mission is to not only create music that people will love, but to inspire and create an art form that celebrates all aspects of rhythm.
With notable releases on Dream Vault, Funkadelphia Recordings, and Abstract Future, tsimba is building a catalog of originals and remixes that are truly unlike anything else out there. Hearing his music in a live setting, however, is an entirely different experience, as his many fans around the U.S. will tell you. All it takes is one tsimba show for a casual listener to become a diehard fan, and his recent tours around the U.S. have proven this at every stop along the way. Few artists can command a crowd like tsimba does, and he shows no signs of stopping.
