Ministry of Sound Celebrates 25th anniversary
UK nightclub and record label giant Ministry of Sound is turning 25 this year!
What started as an afterhours club in an old, gritty London bus depot without so much as a liquor license to hold its name has since emerged into a global icon for dance music. They really got the wheels rolling around that old bus port back in September of 1991, and on top of their everlasting nightclub,Ministry of Sound is now a hit record label worldwide. Having given us names like Benny Benassi, Alex Metric, Fedde Le Grand, Avicii, Wolfgang Gartner, Afrojack, Laidback Luke and so much more, there is little surprise and much applause over this grand feat.
From London’s first house venue to top-notch music mogul, Ministry of Sound has really produced quality DJ’s, tunes, and parties over the last 25 years, and we all know quarter century accomplishments qualify big things! They will be celebrating in two major ways, with an all-day festival in August, and their official birthday party in September.
When it comes to Ministry of Sound, their namesake truly is their virtue as they have always been all about the music. DJ and co-founder Justin Berkmann has stated that his first priority in creating the club was sound. True music lovers have raved about the sound system at London’s Ministry of Sound and rightly so, as there was immense thought put into not only the speakers but also the bass-absorbing sprung floors and immaculate setup to ensure the ultimate sound experience. Good sound and monumental moves have taken Ministry of Sound to their 25 th consecutive year; Celebrate with them atone (or both!) of this year’s shindigs!
M25 fest will be held on Sunday, August 7 th at Trent Country Park in London. Talent includes DJ Sneak, Danny Rampling, Hacienda Classical, DJ Pierre, and tons more! Tickets and full lineup are available now at M25festival.com
The Ministry of Sound birthday bash will be held at none other than their very own famous London nightclub on Saturday, September 3 rd . Headlining the party, they’ve got Todd Terje on the decks. Joining him will be Los Suruba, Greg Wilson, PBR Streetgang, Ewan Pearson (B2B), and Tim Sheridan with phase two of the lineup to be released sometime in July.
