Mizeyesis Unleashes Two Brand New Tracks For Drum and Bass and Junglist Lovers
It’s been a long road for Mizeyesis, New England's own junglist warrior. Going strong since 2004, she has just released two brand new tracks, “Control” and “Dreams”, with Grecian producer Skru. These tracks are part of “The Sea Jah E.P.” on Hexagon Digital, a new label out of the UK
Control is a dark, ominous track, starting off with a cinematic orchestra looming over the intro. The track builds into a distorted 808 drop, accompanied by heavily chopped amen breaks, which will resonate with any diehard junglist fans. The dramatic synths combined with heavy beats make for a smasher. The thundering beats fade blissfully away to a celestial, ambient synth-line, leaving the listener wistful and deeply satisfied.
Dreams is aptly named. The track starts off with a jazz flute intro worthy of Ron Burgundy, layered over smooth keys for an upbeat beginning. The song progresses from a provocative vocal sample into a classic jungle drop focusing on minimal drum breaks, and a subtle bassline. The flutes come back in and beautifully wash over the track, lending to an old school, jazz vibe reminiscent of an early ltj bukem atmosphere. The track is a journey for any drum and bass fan.
